I was playing the Sims 2 and my CD-ROM was running fine. I quit the Sims 2 to install a patch & installed it, and when I went to run the game again I got an error saying "No CD/DVD Rom Found". I tried a different CD and nothing happened. My CD-ROM has now disappeared from my device manager, I've deleted the upper and lower filters, and it's already enabled in my BIOS. When I put a CD in I hear it running and it sounds like it is about to read it, but nothing happens. I disabled and enabled my CD-ROM in my BIOS and when I restarted my computer the drive appeared for a minute or two in the My Computer folder and then it disappeared again and hasn't appeared since.
