I had an unfortunate experience recently regarding Windows Update, i let Windows Update download new drivers for what it said was my IDE Controller, so i thought oh yeha i'll trust Microsoft for once, but when i rebooted after the install windows wouldnt recognise either of my CD drives as being there, so i couldnt install the old drivers from a CD because it wouldnt recognise it, i then tried downloading drivers from my manufacturers website, no joy there. In the end i had to format my HDD and re-install my OS, for future reference can anyone suggest how i could remove newly installed drivers by undoing changed made by windows update, or something like that, so i'm not in that situation again.
cheers:confused:

I dont know if this is gonna work.

1. Go to the control panel

2. select add or remove programs

Now there should be a list of recently installed programs and windows update should be there. Click on it and then click on change/ remove.

Mate, I dont want this to bugger up ur PC so if u wanna do this it aint gonna be my fault I am tryin 2 help. So dont blame me.
