Sorry I've seen that this has been posted about a lot of times before but the solution did not work for me. My Cd-Rom Drive has not been recognised for quite some time now. It lights up, makes noise and opens and closes, but there is no reaction from my computer.
I have tried deleting the upper and lower filters in the registry but it didn't make a difference. I am not sure what else to do. There were solutions suggested using BIOS - but I am not sure what this is.
My computer is E-system 3087. OS is Windows XP Home Edition. I am not sure what the CD drive is other than it is DVD/CD-RW.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
