What resolutions do standalone players best support.

I'm converting SVCD's I've had luck getting em up + running in MPEG 1 resolution 352x250 whats the best I can hope for baring in mind I want maximum compatability.

Whats the best mode/resolution that Spruceup supports?

DVD's support up to 720x480 with Mpeg 2. I don't know if ti will do it in Mpeg1.

DVD players that support SVCD will do 480 x 480 Mpeg 2.

Dvd players that can handle vcd can do 352 x 240 Mpeg 1

MyDVD and DVDit I think will allow you to import Mpeg1 clips without a prob. I am not sure about spruce.
