Lord of the rings and Monsters inc are playing in black and white on my PS2 but works ok on my brothers DVD player.

Any ideas on how to fix this

They're NTSC m8,

You need a full RGB scart not the composite piece of rubbish sony give you.

Once you use a RGB scart though you you will need to have had the PS2 colour modded or play the DVD through DVD X or AR2 V2 to remove the green screen.
