hi m8 i use to have pen-cillin 2k on my pc
until my pc went down with a virus and it did not dected
it at all
i have now swapped over to nortons 2002 virus protector
works a treat and all so mcfees too is very good
its all so worth getting a program called the cleaner too
that is good for trojan scanning

I use NAV 2002 for virus, i use zap (zone alarm pro), sygate personal firewall (www.sygate.com)

Go with either Zonealarm or Tiny's personall firewall for your firewall and AVG from www.grisoft.com for your AV.

All are free and despite being free are probably the best on the market. Security is one of those markets where the most expensive aint the best. From my experience the reverse is true.
