hi im new to the forum and im appealing for help!recently my dvd drive has crashed EVERY time i insert a disc-if i have on auto insert notification it crashes and gives blue screen and error message as soon as disc is recognised!can anyone help me or is it a job for an expert?

You don't mention your operating system and if it used to work and has suddenly started to mess up. If this is the case it could be something that you have done to your system since such as install some new hardware or maybe even software.

I suggest you see if the cables are all in check and then try reinstalling your OS.

You can always disable the auto insert notification for your disc drives in your system properties under the CD-ROM heading.
