I was using a Plextor 16/10/40a with CDRwin just fine until my drive devloped a fault, i returned my 16/10/40a to Plextor and while i await its return i put a new 24/10/40a in, but now CDRwin will not see the drive as a recorder, it sees it just fine as a reader, Cd clone and Nero work just fine with it, i am desperate to get some .BIN file off my PC.
Does anyone have any ideas, i have searched the forum but i haven't found an answer that works.

Try updating CDRWin.. Also you said Nero works, why don't you just burn the images with that??

Hi Celtic, i wasn't aware that Nero could do .Bin files, i thought it was only .Nrg,Iso's, and i did reinstall CDRwin i am using 4.0a, although now i come to think about, someone did say they tried CDRwin 3.8 but it kept crashing, so i will try 3.8 and then try to upgrade to 4.0a, will be back with the results soon.

Well that didn't work, so back to the drawing board.

Well problem solved, it was the ASPI drivers they were incomplete, once i went to the CDRwin homepage and downloaded the latest ASPI drivers, then installed them everything is working just fine.
Now all i gotta do is get it working with Direct CD 5.
