have a epox 8kha+ and just installed a plextor 40x12x40a..... I had a plextor 12x10x32 and it worked fine...

I can't see the cdrom in my computer...

In device maanger it sees it but it has a yellow exlamation point..

The exclamation mark means there is a hardware conflict, right-click on the drive and remove. Then reboot. Check the jumpers on the drive, make sure the master/slave setting is the same as the Plexy 12x you replaced.
If that fails to solve the problem let us know what O/S you are using.

I got code 41 before as a result of uninstalling/installing burning softwares. Often the roots of the prob are those roxio softwares.
