I'm using Nero, and ALL I want to do is get some of my programs on a blank disk so I won't lose them in the reboot. I've attemtped to follow the directions, and they seemed simple enough. Everything seemed to be going fine, and it SEEMED to be burnin the cd...but I put it back in and try to look at what's ON it and it's either saying it's empty, or drive not ready blah. I'm over-run with virus' and I need to get this worked out so I can reboot, so I can then begin downloading some MP3 software...but really this helps in BOTH areas, because I just don't know what I'm doing with the data OR audio burning procedures!!!! I'm gettin frustrated...I'm not a total idiot, I read and read and do everything like it says, but it's still not showing me the info it's "supposed" to be burning. Can anyone help me in a timely fashion??? Please. Thank you if you attempt.

I would like to help you, but I dont seem to understand what you are doing.
To get the program to CD before you reboot ? as in restarting the computer ?
Your PC is full of virus ? Have you not tried installing AntiVirus software ?

I've been infected with numerous bugs, from Netbus worm to the spaces virus, and everything I tried to install seized up from either those or other unknown virus'. I was trying to get out of using my REBOOT disk that restores everything to it's original state and erases all of my 'this and thats' which took me a while to get. So I was attempting to use my Nero burning program to put my 'this and thats' on a rewritable disk. That's where I was getting frustrated. Not only can I not put audio on these disk, I'm apparently too ignorant or illiterate to put data files on them. But since I've already used the reboot disk, that would be my only problem, knowing and really getting my NERO to work for me. Cuz I just can't seem to get this down, and it look relatively simple, but it just isn't working for me. So, my windows sys is back to normal now and I'm getting 2 virus protection programs tomorrow, and again will probably attempt to ruin some more rewritable cds with my incompetant ways. :o)
I just really want a simple way to burn audio and data cds. That will be my main concern now. :o)

Nero is a bit more technical than Easy CD Creator.
I think Roxio still has a trial version of Easy CD Creator.
You may want to try that and see how you make out.
Good luck!
