In general you shouldn't need any drivers for a CD-RW (unless you want to use it as a reader under REAL DOS mode). The only exception is parallel port external ones.

Sometimes you might need to update your CD-R software (e.g. EZ-CD, WinOnCD, Nero) so it recognises your burner. The updates are available from the relevent home page.
