Does anyone know whether the UK PAL version of Medal of Honour Allied Assault is Protected in any way? Or can you just do a straight 1:1 copy?

If it is protected does it need a patch or a crack?

Use CloneCd on it and you shouldnt have to worry about protection or patches, Scan it with Clony first this will tell if its protected or not and suggest the correct settings for burning.You can download the new clony Xxl from my site

A wee bit of a mix up me thinks. MOHAA is a Pc game and is protected by Safedisc 2.:round:

How can you backup PC version of MOHAA?

Depends on your hardware.. If you have the right hardware, then just use Clone CD, read with FES enabled and write in RAW DAO.

If that doesn't work then you could try using the updated version of betablocker before burning and if all else fails, use a crack.

this game is protected by SD2.5 new version of SD2 only bother copying if your writer supports it.

I just got a lite-on 32x and clone cd and cant seem to copy it.It stops at 4 percent??And if i try to make an image file first it wont even get to 1 percent.What settings should I use on clone cd?

as the man said get clony xxl and it will tell you the settings.

Cool, I tried that clonyxxl and it gave me the settings but one of them was to click amplify weak sectors and that box is greyed out?Any way around that??

If you're using the Lite-On burner, don't worry about that box. The reason that box is grayed out is because of the region you live in. U.S.A. & one or two other countries' laws prohibit that feature from being used. (Pretty stupid eh?)

Anyway, like I said... The Lite-On burner works without that option. Just burn away & enjoy!

I figured out how to get around that aws problem for those wondering.Just uninstall clone cd and then change your region settings to anywhere besides us or japan.Then reinstall clone cd.
But anyways...Copyworld..I tried burning and it still takes like 17 mins in buffer then when it starts burning it stops at 4 percent then just hangs.And if i try to just create an image to the hard disk it says its going to take almost 3 hours??
Am i dong something wrong?

the image could possibly take that long to make depending on your hardware because of the intense ammounts of errors (part of the protection) in the disk

If your burner doesn't make a working copy of MOHAA without AWS then it will be worthless to put AWS on because of the newest version of SafeDisc2(AWS is worthless with MOHAA). You need either a compatible burner of a hacked/modified version of BetaBlocker. Make an image of the game with CloneCD and open up BetaBlocker and you should figure it out from there.

And psibob84 is right. The errors are part of the protection.

I am running Windows XP and CloneCD locks up A LOT. Can someone give a full description of the steps I should take in order to copy this game??

Any help in this will be greatly appreciated
