I was just wondering why can't I burn at speeds 1x or 2x on Nero.

The lowest speed is 4x and i was wondering how I could get speeds down.

Any help would greatly appreciated :)

Depends on your burner. Not all drives support all speeds.

Why do you want to burn at 1x or 2x with Nero?

The burner is able to burn at lower speeds when using other programs but now Nero.

As for why, well was trying to burn some ps2 backups and I noticed that my laser couldn't read medai that was burnt at 4x so i'm just wondering if I lowered the speed it could work. I'm sure my media is fine.

No, some games have been ripped to CD's.

In theory you should be able to change the speeds available to Nero by hacking the registry. (Nero has a list of entries where it stores details of all the burners it knows about). However, I wouldn't advise it if sure not sure what your doing.

Personally if I was burning off ISO images or copying CD's then I'd use CDRWin, CloneCD or possibly Burndrive
