I would say so yes.

It does get on your nerves a bit at times with all the warnings, even when you turn off what you can.:hdspin:

But better to be safe I say.

If you go into the settings in ZAPro, you will see each program that has asked permission to access network (local or internet). In that list, if you manually give each one permission, it will stick and ZA will not ask you naymore for that particular application. That is what I do. Takes a while to initially go through and do it, but it is worth it, because then you don't have to deal with the hassle of allowing it each time, especially since ZA can have a short memory it seems! Overall though, I think ZAPro is one of the best overall personal firewalls on the market. The free version is excellent at well. Just my 2 cents!

If you are using a network then yes ZAP is a must but if you don't network your comps then it is debatable if it is worth upgrading.

BTW ZA beta 3.0.077 is available from http://www.zonelabs.com/products/zap/zapro3beta_download.html

Thanks Zack, I realise that but the problem (well, not really a problem as such) I have are not the alerts with your progs trying to connect to the net but incoming alerts. If you go into Internet Alerts>Advanced>Supress alerts you can un-check the various boxes to to your desire. However even if you un-check the lot I have found I still get a good dozen or so alerts per hour on average(I have turned the pop-up alerts off BTW). I realise that these are mostly false alerts due to internet traffic etc, etc but it would be nice if you could turn the lot off.:)

But hey, it's good to know that it's doing the job IMO. And it's still one of if not the best firewalls out there and I would not consider changing it.
