can anyone help? when i play my dvd r films on my ps2 it jumps every 3 secondsi have got neo4.can anyone please help

Sounds like a media issue or even the burning. What media are you using?? some really cheap unbranded media dont work well on ps2. does that dvdr play fine in a normal DVD player?

also, try burning with either different software or even at a lower speed if applicable

a verb? blimey! they work best on ps2. u sure its just not a dodgy lens on the ps2? try to get a cleaner, my ps2 orignal games got a bit funny and i got this special cd with loads of brushes on it. cleaned all the crap off and made it fine.

but i cant think why, tried another film? maybe one of the experts would know...

different PS2's react differently to the same DVD-R media...this depends on the version of the PS2, the laser, etc....my old v1 PS2 would not recognize any movies burnt on generic DVD-R discs...my v4 recoginizes generic media but occassionally skips with them. The trick is to find a media that works with your particular PS2 and stick with that...I have heard of a few people having problems with movie's on verbatim DVD-R media but I haven't heard of anyone having problems with Apple media and I personally have not had any problems with them...also, the way that a DVD-r movie is authored greatly affects playback, you may want to look into that...

ok im pi$$ed off now, i just burnt a movie on a PIONEER disc and mine skips on my ps2 too every few seconds or so.....

sound is fine just piccy. burnt it using dvdit. but again, another coaster as it only burnt 20 minutes of a 2 hour movie!
