goto http://www.elby.org/CloneCD/english/ and look at supported writers. Look for your model and where it says Correct EFM something, if their are 0 dots that means it cant do any SD2 games if it has 1 dot it can do earlier versions of SD2 if it has 2 dots it can do all SD2 games even the latest.http://www.mindshatter.com/forum/brandono.gif

It will most likely do it, just not very well, you may find that your copies don't work in some drives where previous copies would. You may also find that you have to read slower and that some media doesn't work when it used to work just fine.

Brandono, i looked at the clone site and my writer has 2 dots for Correct EFM encoding of regular bit patterns, so is that good as i dont a lot about this

my writer is a liteon 24x (24102B)

Two dots is as good as it gets.. You should notice no difference between copying the older versions of SD2 and the new one..

SD v2.6x is just around the corner though.. Aparently test CDs went out to their beta testers end of Dec/start of Jan.

so if two dots is good then will i be able to copy future safedisc 2.6 and onwards, hope so i dont have to get a new burner

I don't know about 2.6(have to wait and see), but you should have no problems with 5.51.xx.
