Can you tell me how to burn a pc game ? It ask for a data1.cab data2.cab data3.cab.... what is that file ?

They are install shield CAB files.. They contain the game files.. What is the game??

The game is The Sims HOt Date, do you know how to install it ? I download a version from Morpheus + reg code

I know very little about the sims.. But I do know that Hot Date is an expansion pack and requires the sims or one of the earlier releases to install. What image format was it in??

Hi, the file was hotdate.exe
out of that was some folder's a sims.exe, simscd.ico, start.exe, 00000001.tmp, 00000002.tmp, autorun.
I just burn all the files to a cdrom and it autostart and the instal starts i put in the reg. number that also was in the exe file and type in the folder c:\sims\..... ok and then it ask for the data1.cab (i found it on one of the other sim games cd) then ask for data3.cab i cant find that one, i have ALL the other games on original cd's (the sims, livin it up and house party)

Sometimes when a CD is not read or written correctly that uses install shield it will ask for datax.cab files that do not exist.. There may simply be no data3.cab file.

Ok, so that mean that i burn it wrong ? Can it be a bad download can it halp to download it again?

I think the extracted file you downloaded did not have the complete set of files required for hotdate. I haven't got that game but I do have House Party which has data1.cab & data2.cab files. data2.cab is pretty big so maybe whoever created the archive split it to make downloading easier.

try using cdrwin at www.goldenhawk.com u can download it from here and u mite be able to burn pc games

I don't think CDRwin will help as the source download is missing this file. I had a search in Google & it seems that this is a common problem with Hotdate obtained from a certain P2P network. In other words I think you have an incomplete copy of the program.

you just have to download the whole cd image... stop downloading zip, exe, and rars....

hey, im totally new into this. im tryin to burn desperate housewives pc game into a cd. but ive got no idea wat to do coz i heard that before copyin to the cd, i had to use the daemon stuff first then using nero, i can then burn it. anyone got any idea? please help me~ ..........
