I'm just transferring some old LPs onto CD for my dad (like you do) and wondered how you create the track markers for the CD to recognise?
Do you have to manually split the wave up or is there another way to do it?

You can manually cut the wav file up using Nero Wave Editor.
You can also use the Indexes, Limits, Split features on Nero, too.

The easiest way is to add track markers without actually splitting the file. Feurio, Nero, Winoncd can all do this. If your burn proggie doesn't have this feature then you'll need to physically split the file using an audio editor.

Feurio will do this with Wave files and MP3 files. The demo is fully functional and available from www.feurio.com
You can also use dBPowerAMP with the dMC Auxiliary Input Add-on (www.dbpoweramp.com) to record the LPs directly to MP3.
