Hi Guys

Got 2 PCs and have connected both using NIC cards and a cross cable. Very simpe. I wanted to do this so that i can share my USB adsl modem. works great, can surf and share docs no problem.

Something just hit me, i have shared the whole hard disks on both PCs so that i can access docs no problem as its only my family, noone dodgy! :D

Has this move made it easier for people to access my Hard Disks? you know what i mean?

Your PC's are only as much at risk as one PC by itself would be..

You have a good firewall so I would not worry. Being hacked is always going to be a problem, and if you are really worried about it, just disconnect the x-over cable when you surf.
