I use neokey and gameshark to boot backups can I sumhow boot dvd silvers as well? thx

1. Load AR2 V2 (GAMESHARK FOR NTSC)
2. Select Action Replay Codes
3. Highlight Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX2 code
4. Press start
5. Press eject and insert original DVD (i use DSevil May Cry DEMO)-(THE ORIGINAL MUST HAVE BIGGER TOC THAN THE COPIED
6. Wait about 10 seconds
7. Press 'x' on Withcodes, then 'x' again
8. Erros message appears 'Too many codes' (at this point you will hear the disk stop spinnin')
9. Now perform your tool/knife-swap trick for your CDR/DVDr
or if you are using the modchips ea method, then just release the reset button at that steps.
10. Press x to confirm the error message
11. Press circle twice to return to main menu
12. Goto 'Start Game', 'Without codes' - press x
13. Game boots.

does this work for all gameshark versions?
and does this work w/o any modchip at all?

the neokey does not let you load dvdr or dvd silvers, only cd based backups. the instructions above are known as the "Dave Mirra" swap trick. you have to use the knife trick anyways, so that does not have anything to do with the functionality of the neokey.

I heard that if you use a {neo 2.2 or a nosolder mod} and a neokey at the same time then you can play dvdrs.

Yesh the Neo Key doesn't boot DVD'r of anytype except Originals, not silvers

so without the neokey, you can boot dvd-rs and silvers with the swap trick using thoes instructions right?

you can boot dvd's without a modchip. all you need to do is double swap using a game with a high toc (like the dmc demo for example) using the knife trick

if you already have the neokey installed then you might just want to get a rmod also so you can play dvdrs.

Check this thread they say the sbox but its the same as the neokey.
