OK all was fine in burnville till my HDD crashed, I replaced it and re-installed win ME now when I install nero 5.0 it does not see the iomega 121032 as a writer. so I tried 5.5 (which ever is the latest) and when I launch it, Nero it locks my system up for about 5 min then like magic it finaly launches and runs fine. I have updated aspi. I have tried DMA both enabled and disabled I am banging my head on the wall please help.

Are your jumpers set correctly to slave/master for each unit on the ide cable/s?

I opened the box up and yess the HDD and all attached CD drives are properly set as slave or master. The only thing I chanfed was the HDD, all else stayed the same, when ME was installed again Nero started Locking up my machine. the journey continues..:furious:

Well I formated the HDD again adn went back to 98SE adn I am still having the same proglem. This is driving me crazy!! PLEASE HELP!!!:confused:
