:furious: For some odd reason... whenever i boot it.. it gives me a black screen.. then it says sony entertainment presents.. then it freezes at the black screen... i have a v.1.9 gameshark and a modchip.. but i dont know which one it is.. so plz help me!

I would presume its a bad burn. The fact that you get to the Sony Presents screen would mean to me that its booted.
Then again I maybe wrong. I have a Neo4 and CDR of this game and it works fine for me. I'm not sure about your set-up coz I've read about size limitations for gameshark boots.

Yeah, I use to have the same problem but I found out about a new boot method.

I have the same set-up as you so try this... (Make sure the system is STANDING UP!)

Load the GS2 from a cold boot. (Press and HOLD the reset button after you put the GS2 in the tray and it will go to "red")

Wait a few seconds and hit the reset button again but HOLD it.
Now wait until you see the "PlayStation 2" Logo come up, it'll make a "noise" at that moment let go of the reset button!
The tray will come out with the disc SPINNING, DO NOT REMOVE THE GS2 let it go back into the PS2 and the GS2 will boot.
Now all you do is choose new game and without codes, you know the rutine,,,, swap out as usuall...
AS you hit the eject button for the backup to go into the PS2 right after you do hit the "X" key on your controller and guess what? The game (backup) boots!

Now others don't have to do this and have given me a hard time over this but it works everytime when I use this method. (I need a CAP.) It's about the only backup I have to do this to but this boot will work on other backups as well if all you see is a black screen.... The backup is just spinning but nothing happens... I know, I've been there, BUT no more! Take care and if you need more help let me know.........

You must have an older PS2... I have a ver4 and it opens... oh well I tried.. READ it over again because I up-dated some info. See what happens... oh well...........

Read it again... as the GS2 boots up you'll see the choose New Game and click the X key on your controller. Now choose Without Codes on the next menu with X key.

It will say swap disc. All you do is after you do that, put the backup in the tray for the GS2, all you do is as you hit the (EJECT) button on the PS2 and then right after you do that hit the X key on the controller.... it should boot.

Now the newest PS2's may not open after you release the reset button. (at the Playstation 2 logo screen) Make sure you're using the (RESET) button to get it to work NOT the (EJECT) button like you do when you swap out the discs......... later......

but.. my gs doesnt say NEW GAME. hmm... okay this is what i do..
i put in the gs disc
then turn it off
then turn it on and HOLDING the power/reset button
then waiting till the playstation 2 sign pops up and the "noise"
release the button and it SHOULD pop out
but it didnt..
then i go to start game and chose without codes
then i swap the disc in.. and it gives me..
SONY ENTERTAINMENT PRESENTS.........black screen after that.

If the tray doesn't open and it's a new PS2 I don't know what to tell you. My ver4 PS2 tray opens at the LOGO screen when I let go of the reset button... It must be a different set-up on the newer systems. oh well, like I said I tried....... Try to find out what kind of modchip you have if you can... CFizz

If you are trying to load it with reset trick then the game only makes it to the sony screen, u just have to insert the game on gs or ar screen like a normal game and start without codes if all else fails email me your address and ill send u a copy 4 free
