I've got a Sony DAV-S300 and wanted to play movies from other regions.

To do this from what I understand I need to disable the Macrovision. Does anybody out there know:

1. Can Macrovision be disabled from say maybe a Tech (Troubleshooting) Menu.
2. How do you access the Tech (Troubleshooting) Menu?
2. What IC produces the Macrovision signal and can it be modified or disabled without bringing the whole player down?
3. I've seen some of the different filter boxes out there do they work / are they worth it?
