Check the burner in Device Manager to make sure it's properly installed and recognised. If there's a yellow exclamation mark next to the burner then there's a device conflict, right click on the burner select remove & then reboot the PC.

You may need to fix the ASPI layer, get ForceASPI from Cyrus Troy's site (http://www.cyrus.troy.btinternet.co.uk/downloads.htm).

Also try different media, it may just be a bad batch of discs.

You have a well documented problem!!! To fix it shut down your pc unhook the power and the ide cable to your liteon, reboot the pc go it to windows then shut down and unplug pc re-install liteon. You should be good to go if not try again. I've gotten your problem a few times and that's what fix it for me every time. Good Luck.
To fix any of your Liteon problems try this. (http://www.cdrinfo.com/forum/)
