I have several PSX games of which I want to make backups of, and I would like to know what is the proper method of extracting and burning a Playstation game. I have clone cd, and Ez Cd Creator 4.02. (I would be willing to use win-on cd if necessary)
Thanks

CloneCD will work. But if you need to patch a game because of a protection or for NTSC/PAL Game then use CDrwin. www.goldenhawk.com . If you burner supports it then on CloneCD check Read subchannel data from audio and data and check "dont repair subchannel data". Some PSX games check subchannel for a copy protection.

I would go to http://www.backupcopy.8m.com and it has step by step directions on how to backup psx games (works for many PS2 CD based games as well)

Like me I have a 7 wire modchip and some games like Grind Session and NHL 2001 detect my chip so I need a patch. Even the original would not work because the detection is on that too. Some games also have LibCript so you will need CloneCDs Read subchannels and dont correct subchannel.
