I have a Memorex 1622 which writes @ 2X........very slow but does the job, well did the job that is!.......anyways...I've been trying to burn an audio CD using nero...but when writing I get an error message stating "Reset Occuured" ........It will burn a cd rom disc with data but will not burn a audio........any ideas......I've waisted over 15 cds trying to burn an audio disc.

When you get the error "Reset Occured", it means there is some kind of communication problem that the burnware can't communicate with the burner. Try updating ASPI layer. Get ASPI update drivers here http://www.adaptec.com/worldwide/support/drivers_by_product.html?cat=/Product/ASPI-4.70 . What OS are you running?

If that doesn't fix the problem, try moving the CDROM to a different IDE channel from the burner.

My OS is Win98, I downloaded the ASPI Driver update and haven't tried to burn a CD, I alos have another cd burner program that I had used in the past and that also locks up.... Is this normal for the aspi to cause conflicts with the burner all of a sudden even though the burner has been working for the past 2 years.........????

Back with an update..........well I installed the updated ASPI but with no luck fixing the problem.....I tried to burn another Audio Disk and another burn process failed message along with "No Seek Complete" any ideas what the no seek complete error message means?
