I am a PC and PS2 gamer. I have seen members referencing www.IGN.com but to read reviews and such there is a $4.95 monthly subscription fee. They also promote that you can download pdf strategy guides. Can anyone comment if they deliver $4.95 a month worth or can the same info be gotten elsewhere. Any links would be great....

I ued to love IGN.com , since they got really got reviews and uch, but after I start charging for the subscirption, I stopped going to the place.. I personally don't think it is worth it since the info they provide, you can also find at like 10 other video games review sites over the web, and they don't charge..

It is really up to you, if you are a die hard fan of the site, the monthly fee really isn't that much..

I hate ign now that you have to be an insider to view everything I cant even look at a guide for Final Fantasy X when there free on the other sites,
I dont think its worth it.

Well, you can get everything you need to know most other places for free, gamefaqs.com for strategy guides, so I definately wouldnt support them by paying the subsciption fee!

I have free membership from IGN. You don't get to see some of the cool screen shots and movies, but you still get all the reviews and news. If you want walkthrough and cheats Gamefaqs is much better.

Well, a year's subscription to IGN Insider is $20.00, which is terrible, compared to free. However, you can get IGN Insider for free, like me...

Just register with ign and when it gets to the payment screen, there's an option to get your membership sponsored by a number of different companies. I signed up for a credit card and they gave me a free year's subscription to IGN Insider...my card isn't even activated!
