The 3 parts of the burning audio CDR equation are : the burner, the player and the media. So what works for me wont necessarily work for you.
Your best bet is to try a few brands and see what works for you. If you have a really fussy player then Kodak Golds or silver/golds are well regarded.

Yeah i would agree with Darkman, the Kodak are good for audio cd's, also give TDK a shot, they are good for almost anything. I have used both and both are really good. Another one to look out for are the Discplanet cd's, i recently purchase a 50 pack and I tell ya, I was gob smaked at the quality brand they are. Give it a try like Dman say then best to stick to it.

As Darkman said try a few and whatever works for you with your combo of equipment. Kodak Gold's are now very hard to get hold of (UK) and we know they have ceased CDR production, which is sad as they were great discs.
I have a Sony CD player in my car which is fussy with CDR brands but I never have a problem with Princo, Ritek, Datasafe. I have had a lot of skipping problems with Discplanet's but I think that's just the Sony unit to be fair.
So try a few and see what's good for you.

OC-Freak's our media expert here. He literally burns hundreds of disks per week as far as I know. He made a list some time ago, it may be around if you perform a search.
My favorites are the Kodak Gold/Gold CD-Rs (discontinued) for achival storage (they last practically forever) and may I suggest Mitsui Gold (if still make them?), and whatever is cheap for the rest. But I tend to stay away from the Verbatims (don't like the Azo dye, caused failures in short ordre in the past).
To be quite honest, most disks burn fine and stay fine for a while, until they sart skipping or become unreadable. I found that disks made by Kodak and Mistui seem the toughest in that respect.
My oldest still readable CD-Rs are all Verbatim Gold when they used to be made by Mitsui or Kodak. The Verbatim blues have been failing at a much faster rate.
Heck this subject has been discussed extensively before, you should find a lot more searching the old posts.
