hi

i installed a new write...24 speed. Its ace, i can burn a cd in under 5 mins !!!

however, i find that when i burn some cds using blindwrite, windows does not recognise that there is a cd in the drive. even when i have just burned it ! I know the cds have burned ok coz i have taken thenm into work/played in car/ played on ps2 etc etc and they are all great. Its good 24x media i use as well !

in explorer, under e: the label will be stuck on a cd i had in ages ago. This is especially bad for video cds !

please help, i am tearing my hair out over this one! esp[ecially when i watch 1 cd of a two cd VCD and when i go to disc 2 i get please insert cd rom when the bl**dy thing is in!

copying cds is no problem, nero always finds the cd ! but windows explorer and the explorer bit in all the apps cant!

any ideas.......is a mitsumi cd4809 or something like that (im at work)

Make sure the CDs are finalised and perhaps try enabling AIN (Auto insert notification) on the CDROM drive.

I would suspect it's a software prob not hardware. You might not be fully compatible with Blindwrite.
Try another app, CDRWin works well for VCD's along with Nero or WInOnCD.
Also as far as I know any CDRW that starts with the letters cr would be an HP burner.
