i'm thinking about swaping my Version 1 ps2 that has a neo 2.2 for a version 4 ps2 (unopend). Do you guys think it is a wise trade to do ? What are the disadvange between V1 and V4. Also what the 1c date code ? I want to try to put in a messiah chip or neo 4.1 what are your thoughs on this please let me know thanks everyone

lol if somebody is going to do that trade then do it. Ack he has 1c date code. Don't get it. That one cant take neo 4's or messiahs or 4.1s or 4r's coming out.

ocon are you sure about that 1c thing? cuz it was a while back but eccs told me that my version 4, U3, date code 1c could work with the neo 4.

version4 date 1c doesnt work with neo4 or messiah, if its a 1a then it work.

from what i been reading the v4 is good for neo4 and messiah. so if i were u i trade with your friend. your friends's ps2 is obvousely newer then yours since its a v4(and its brand new). and beside if you install the neo4 or messiah, u have to take out the neo2.2 anway. so do your friend a favor and trade with him, hehe

Seems kinda shady. V4 1C will NOT take Neo4 or Messiah. Origa, Starchip, and Neo 2.2 only.

Now have you opened yours up? Do you know what it says on your ROM? If it's 020, you can get a Neo 4.1. Those work with V1 020 ROMs.

Just make sure you can install newer modchips on it

well mind is Version 1 with a neo 2.2 and i use Gs2 2.0 to boot DVd-r i hope it is a 1a version 4 he got so i can trade hom but one problem it's hard to find a messiah huh where can i get one ?

unless you want to overpay for the messiah, its best to wait.

that guy antone is selling them for 117, not sure if he still have them.
