Hey there, I was hopin someone could help me out. I have a strange problem. My PS2 doesn't like CD-R's burned at low speeds. Having said that I have only tried about 5 low speed burns.

If I record at 8X (my burners max) I get a decent burn (still louder than an original with more re-reading by the drive) but if I do a copy at 1x read, 1x burn it won't load when I do the swap trick; it just clunks and/or freezes. I don't think it's my equipment. Media maybe?

PC: PIII 500
HP 9100 burner
Toshiba DVD (for reader, one of the most recommended for cloneCD)

Media: Maxell 8X max (from spool of 100). Silvery green bottom

PS2: 30001-R V5 (1 week old)
R-Mod
Gameshark 2 v2.01

I think this is all the pertinent info. Any suggestions/ideas appreciated.

Thanx,

Putz 2k1

Thanks, that's what I figured. Funny thing is I have never had a problem with this brand for anything else. I think I'll try some Verbs or TDK. I heard Kodak and Memorex are Okay too.
