I noticed in this diagram that it shows soldering two specific points "will allow DVD playback via RGB (RGB fix)." Does this do the same thing as the video stablizer chip?

It also shows that soldering two other points "will allow all import games and films to play in colour." I thought the Messiah does this automatically without having to solder these two points. Can anyone confirm any of this?

Here's the link so you can check out the diagram yourself.

Most likely, you won't need to do what's on that site. The one I installed over the weekend boots imports and plays them in full color and I didn't junction any IC points.

And as for the PSX NTSC fix, it's now a mini chip on the Messiah itself.

Actually I was refering to playing DVD movies. Were you able to play DVD movies fine without having to install the video stablizer chip which disables the macrovision?

Really? This is the first I've heard that the Messiah plays DVD movies and PSX CDRs w/out the help of additional chips. I take it you have the full Messiah then instead of the lite? Where did you buy yours? Were there extra functions that were added to yours by your seller? I'm hoping Lik-sang's is a full Messiah and not the lite.

DVD's play fine. But PSx games need the NTSC fix. Clones are the only ones out. I am assuming Lik-sang is getting the same ones we are, so they are probably lites.

NTSC fix will only be offered from 2 companies (eccsmods and foundmy), we will not sell the chips seperately!!

the RGB fix is for PAL models only.

I stand corrected. Thanx Ed.
