Hey guys, haven't posted here in a while. I guess that is good as my TDK (Plextor) has been a champ for me.

I am compelled by the new Plextor and Lite-On 40X drives and thinking of pulling the trigger. It appears thought that these really only will shave 2 minutes off my current 6 minute burn time. I also know that my drive is fully compatable with CloneCD and makes perfect backups. Not sure is the 40X drives mentioned above can do this.

Any comments welcome. Ya's, Nay's etc.

Both drives will do everything your trusty 12x does plus 1:1 copies of SD2 protected discs.
