I have an Acer CD Writer. And i've always had a weird problem, and would like to see if anyone can help me.

I can write CDR's and stuff without any problems, don't get any errors, maybe one or two error messages when i copy LOADs of CDR's at once, but i can live with that.
What i can't live with is, why is it, that sometimes when i'm copying CDRs, i don't get any error messages, and all Seams fine, UNTIL i actually run the CDR, and see that sections of the CDR haven't been copied properly.

Why does this happen, if it hasn't been copied properly, why don't i just get errors when CDRs don't get copied properly?!?

Is there anyway to stop this, or at least me to know that the CDR hasn't been copied properly without having to go through each CDR one at a time? I mean, how am i supposed to know which CDRs are and are not faulty, when i don't even get any errors?

Please help

Thanks in advance

Try different media, some burners are just fussy, or you may just need to improve the quality of media to reduce the burn errors.
Alternatively your burner may just be faulty.

It would really depend what type of copy you are making??? This does happen frequently with bad Mp3's, which you can scan for errors using this utility

If it's a CD which you already have a good copy of, there are several CD Compare/Check a utilities out there.

I have a acer burner myself, as does a friend of mine. Both drives (a 10x and a 12x burner) produce 'somethimes' coasters without errors in burn proggie. The burned disc jsut isn't readable.

My experience is that Acer drives just hates cdr media wich are blue or green (TDK, MAXELL, BESTMEDIA, Nashua (old-style) to name a few). I NEVER get such faulty disks using silver/silver cdr's. Those media are the most common nowadays (Acer, Arita, Philips, Nashua (new) to name a few). In short: Look out which media you use
