Are you referring to originals or backups?

The proper procedure for USB is as follows:

-Insert GS CD
-Choose With Codes (be sure to choose the right game so the cheats are working) or Without Codes
-Eject GS CD
-Press X on controller. Screen should say Loading.. Please wait.
-Place backup in tray and close tray.
-Backup should boot.

a cable must be loose or damaged inside when you installed it (or had it installed).

Double check:

Are you using the right mod with the right Version PS2?

Did you solder the mod to the correct solder points inside the machine? (were you looking at the correct diagram for your version ps2?)

Does the machine work with the mod unplugged and/or removed completely?

Why don't you just unplug the usbmod from the usb port & see if the ps2 works? mayeb your wire came loose?

its not plugged in, and it still wont load ps2 original games either, it just spins them and then says: read disk error

well, you can always post a picture of your solder job on the net for us to see. I don't know why more people don't do that but just think how nice it would be if we could see it.
