Hi all
I have the dvdr backup of ssx tricky and I get lots of slowdown when you are racing and there is a few peeps on the screen also when the fireworks go off is this normal ?
I have never played the original non backup so cant compare, any info would be great.

Yeah, I get the same problem mate. I also have a DVD-r 'back-up' of this game and I get slowdown, I also get it on Wipeout Fusion too!!! You'd think with all the power the PS2 has this kind of thing should be eliminated.......:(

Yeah, I noticed that slowdown thing when playing the cdr version as well.

I had the orignal game as well and it played just fine, its something to do with the copy.

thats weird cause I have the cdr and it works fine for me no slowdown at all..

I have the HK silver, and there are slight slowdowns during race. Usually when there are more than 3 characters on screen.

i too got the cdr ripped version but no slowdow at all , its probably the way the dvd or cds are burned.

it is most likely that this is one of those "gta3" style games.You HAVE to burn them slowly like gta3 which when burnt fast textures screwed up.I could be very wrong though as you were talking about HK silvers,but it could be a low quality silver.

Hmm Interesting , maybe I should ask some of the guys who bought the original and see if they have any complains about slowdowns while racing in the game.
