go to www.geocities.com, www.fws1.com there are loads i have pages on both of those sites and they are free but there are pop ups and advertisements. If you upgrade and pay a monthly fee they will give you your own domain name i.e www.yourname.com, www.yourname.co.uk etc

hope this helps

Try using an FTP client. You can leave them uploading and don't have to keep clicking.

Try CuteFTP (from www.downloads.com )

If you need PHP and MySQL (A must for dynamic content ;)) then I would go with SpacePorts.com. If you need something completely ad free no strings attached, go to f2g.net which is entirely ad free and is quite speedy for free and no ads I might add! They also support FTP. If you arn't worried about file permissions and such, I recommend FTP Explorer for its simplicity and speed.

Be wary of AOL.

they state they have many good webhosts, but when you look into their host listing, all are pre-pay, with some costing as much as 1000 per month to use!!!!!!:(

Yep Netfirms are pretty good. They put a banner at the top of your page but apart from this there are no Pop ups and are up most of the time. They're one of the best free services I've come across.
