Hi all,
We`ve got 3 pc`s all networked, with a Teac cdrw on the main pc. How can I let the other 2 machines use the cdrw on the main pc?
I use WinOnCD 3.8, will this work or have I got to use a packet writer like Direct cd?

I've never actually tried this but i would imagine if you set the writer as "shared" & "map" the drive on your other comps they should all be able to use it.
works that way for floppy's anyway.
let us know how you get on.

Well I have tried it, and I would be VERY interested in hearing from someone who HAS made it work. I found that all the progs I use, scan the IDE bus, which is impossible over a network. This takes place when the program initializes, so there are no options for 'browsing' to it.
You can, of course, burn anything on another comp through the network as long as you're on the comp with the burner...

Well it looks like DirectCD is the only way at the moment, BUT, has anyone seen what the new Disjuggler 4.0 will do?
One of its new features is writing via a peer to peer network

This could be the best piece of cdr s/w yet if it does everything it says it will.

Very interesting Inca..
That would be awesome if that were possible.. Does this mean that DVD-RWs will function in the same manner.. as DVD-RWs are quite expensive, and it would be great if that were true..

Will Netmeeting let you do this with Remote Desktop sharing running,or maybe program sharing.Never tried it but might worth a shot.Seeing how most computers have Netmeeting installed by default you shouldnt have to download and/or install anything.

I`ve never used or looked at netmeeting, what is it?!!
The other way of burning remotely is to use VNC http://www.uk.research.att.com/vnc/ which is free & quite good or PCAnywhere, which is expensive.
