im in the uk and have a samsung dvd player and its sposed to play cdr's, so i tried playing strand, TDk and intenso cdr's on it and it didnt work. this isnt a region problem cause i was trying to play music on my dvd player (yes it does play music cause it plays store bought albums) so obviously the problem must be that only certain brands of cdr's work on my dvd player. any help would be gr8! thanx

What samsung model is it ?
If its a 709 or a 511 then I have found Datasafe CDr's (The old ones not the new ones) and Princo unbranded (both thes discs are made by princo)Play on this model.

You normally find that CD-RW works a lot better.

I tried 2 cds before - 1 was a Yamaha 80 CDR

The other was a Yamaha CDRW.

The CDR could not be read but the CDRW worked fine !!

Just a thought

ive found that the datasafe media cdr plays even on systems that are non cdr(sony systems play them 100 percent even if they state non cdr compatable).
