I have posted before about TMPGEnc crashing every time I go to convert the audio for conversion to DVD.

I have noticed with my computer the when I play audio and movies in Media Player that the sound is jerky.

Do you think the sound card may need to be reinstalled?? and could this be the problem with the encoding and crashing???

Cheers

Encoding has nothing to do with your sound card. Try using Too LAME to do the audio instead of TMPGEnc.

I've had problems with TMPGEnc and this too....
First it works fine, and now it crashes everytime I hit run when converting the audio.
For me, I think it is something I have installed since TMPGEnc that may have changed something, and everything points to Ulead DVD Factory.

For what it's worth, although TMPGenc is a great program, it seems to be extremely fussy on the quality of input files you give it... I am finding that using other programs designed for specific tasks seem to take on the operations a lot more reliably.
