Creative Labs, Inspire 5300, 5 small speakers and a subwoofer, amazing sound with my creative labs audigy sound card.

check out logitech z-560's. only 4.1 though. 400w, THX, look cool... $142 shipped thru pricewatch.com

I'm very pleased with my Klipsch Promedia 5.1's - 500W and THX certified too :)

I bought THESE (http://jab-tech.com/skylink_subwoofer.html) for the wifes PC.. They are excellent speakers.

I also have a set of altec lansing ATP5 speakers (4.1 though)

if you must have 5.1 then go with klpsch, otherwise, i second the logitech speakers
