I am having problems using the 'mp3+g to bin' option in MP3G Toolz. When I try, nothing happens! I am using Win98, but can get it to work ok with W2000. Is there a problem with MP3G Toolz & Win98?
Any help would be appreciated.

I use it in both Win98 and Win2K with no problems. I'm sure many others are using it in Win98. Have you tried v2.0.9? Download it from here: http://karaokedj.dnsalias.com/Mp3GToolz/

Thanks for the quick reply. I have tried v2.0.9, but I get an error that 'mp3p.ocx is not registered or mising file'. The file is there and I have installed the VB6 runtime files.
Any ideas

You may have a different version of the VB runtime files then the VB version used to create MP3GToolz. Did you download the VB runtime files from the MP3GToolz site? If not download the VB runtime from there.
Also try dragging the mp3p.ocx over the regsrvr.exe file (use Find File to locate it).

Still no joy with MP3+G Toolz. Now using small DOS program CDGTOBIN, very slow but great success. Never thought I'd need DOS batch programs again.............!!!!

You probably had VB runtime files installed from a different version. This problem pops up often. Glad you at least got a workaround.

EssDee, check the regsvr32.exe in the C:\Program Files\Mp3+G Toolz 2 folder and Windows\System (Windows\System32) folders to make sure they are the same size and version. They should be 10K and version 5.0.2134.1. Check on both your Win2K and Win98 systems.

I had a problem with the toolz.
So after a lot of mucking about.....
1. Copy the MP3+CDG files to your hard disk
2. Go to the folder that contains the whole of CD&G disk.
3. Right click and hit convert to .BIN file
4. You should see the process begin.
5. You will land up with a lot of .bin files in that directory.
6. Then run CDRWIN and select record disk
7. Select CD&G disk - option at the top
8. Select add files - add all of the .bin files created - typically 30-50Mb each.
9. Then hit record and it will write the CD&G disk out.
I use a Plextor CDR 24X writer running under WINXP Pro.
it does work.
