Dont think its possible. But you can do mpeg.

convert the .avi file to .mpg with TMPGEnc or another encoder and then burn the mpg file with GyPlay if u need instructions Mail me Jfaz10@home.com

It is possible.. just don't have any high expectations. The author of the current divX on dreamcast player, which hopefully will be released soon, has already said that it'll be impossible to do it anywhere near as well as the PCs on the market now.

the divx decoder needed at least a pen 2 450 to run decently at all and the dreamcast processor clock speed is only about 200mhz. It will not run properly at all IMO due software decoding.
