have been told that my Memorex SixteenMAXX1040 burner won't copy Safedisk2 protected disks. It's based on a Liteon model. Want to backup my new Comanche 4 game which the manual says I am permitted to do. Anyone know if there is a problem with the burner, and if so can you recommend a burner(in the UK) which will copy SD2 disks?

forgot to say. using clonecd and settings from clony(fes). even tried amplify weak sectors. game autostarts but when i select 'run' it asks for the correct disk.

I guess your test would confirm the fact that it can't do 1:1 SafeDisc2 copies..

As to burners which can look at the Clone CD hardware requirements page and choose any burner capable of "Correct EFM encoding of regular bit patterns" Such as the 24x lite-on and plextor.
