wod_uk Apr 09, 2002, 05:53 AM yes it is 100% solid. i have had mine since end of february and no problems what so ever. i will work time after time if it is installed correctly
Everitt Apr 09, 2002, 06:27 AM i can say
if you get it installed by a proffessiob (and one who does it for $35AU HAHAHAHAHAHA) then it will be right
mine works 100% everytime
except psx which i can't get to boot
no worries though never play psx
badderman Apr 09, 2002, 06:36 AM Yep mine is in the UK and works fine. However it all depends on who installs it, make sure you get a reputable and experienced chipper to do it.
w3dal Apr 09, 2002, 07:18 AM OKay,
So whos the best chipper for the Messiah in the UK.
Closest to Essex the better...
Cheers
Dal
booboy2 Apr 09, 2002, 07:28 AM Hi Dal,
well I thought that guy in the BST h forum looked alright, ps2chiplondon, isn't he the one who would come out and chip it at your house?
Anyhow, the v5 I bought on Firday is winging its way to stusy this afternoon to be fitted with a messiah.
When I get it back I will let you know how its gone, and how it performs loading the backups. I am paying £110 inclusive of return postage which when you consider that the chips sell individually for £65, postage £15, the actual install charge is only £30 which is only £1 per wire. Although I chipped my other myself it was only 5 wires and the install diagrams for the messiah look hoffiric, far to precise soldering is required straight onto chips, and with me being one small step away from having a guide dog and a white stick I will not be attempting this one!
Anyhow I'll let you know, but I have ultimate confidence is stussy's abilities, and for me his was the only choice, I only want it chipping once, and I beleive his offers a great service v price.
Later...Booboy2

Should work on all models and as far as reliable ive had mine so long i cant remember but it was way back when the beta testers were doing their thing so probally about 6 months now ive had mine done and b4 that i had it chiped from day one , first the neo then a beta neo 3 then a bootmaster beta and then a messiah beta so my ps2 has had a fair bit of soldering and still boots like the day it came out of the box. I remember going on digital forums and getting kicked off and called a liar cos i had a messiah fitted b4 most had even heard of it lol

ThoseOfTheUnlight Apr 10, 2002, 05:45 AM Hmm sarcasm?? Cube Q fair enough, but the box??
Neutrik Apr 10, 2002, 06:04 AM I've had my messiah for 4 months now and I'm not experiencing any problems apart from the fact that I know my laser is dying as its not reading any of my back-ups that are on Memorex like they would a month ago. Only Verbatim and Apples work now, and I CD-R's are going a bit dodgy too.
Oh well, thats my messiah experience so far...
