I recently replace my burner with a 16x plexwriter. This required me to upgrade from nero 5.0 to 5.5. I've had nothing but problems since this, and I was wondering if anyone could recommend another program to burn downloaded movies as vcds. I would like to see if its nero, the burner, or something else. Right now, I'm getting scsi errors, when I don't even have scsi installed. I also get random lock-ups while burning, and problems fastforwarding the movie, if I burn faster than 8x.
Here's the stats, if you want them:
Win 98, Athlon 700, 256 RAM, 20 gig HD, 16x plexwriter, 12x toshiba DVD-ROM, and a major headache with nero.

I'd always used easycd until I bought a new liteon that came with Nero 5.5
I must admit, it runs a lot better than easycd, although I've had about 5 coasters from 200 discs, whereas with easycd, I think I had 2 in 3 years

DiscJuggler?
I don't think DiscJuggler has VCD buring capability (from
.mpg files). I am sure it can burn images of VCDs or copy VCDs,
but that isn't what nightheart was asking in his post.
Correct me if I am wrong.

The file found at C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\IOSUBSYS\Scsi1hlp.vxd can cause errors attributed to SCSI. This file may be necessary to play video CD's, but most systems can work OK without it. You might try renaming this file and see if the errors and other problems with Nero are corrected.
Read the information at Nero Help Tool - SCSI1HLP.VXD (http://www.ahead.de/en/helptool/137.htm#o370) for some information on problems with this file.

Thanx for the help. I haven't checked the nero help file yet, but I will. Disc juggler does not have VCD, at least not the easy one, where you click VCD format. I am using PSXcopy 2000 now, with VCD format, and have yet to have any problems with it.
