What kind of burner do you guys use to burn your games, and what software do you use. I'm thinking of buying a tdk 16x comes with nero and wonder if it works fine.

I use a TDK Velocd 24x and works great with disc juggler and nero.

I use a TEAC 24x10x40, never had a problem with it. I used every burning program and never had a problem. The only thing is to get an updated version of the program you're planning to use.

But if you're going to buy one, I suggest you get a TEAC CD-524E 24x10x40.

I've seen 24x for around 100 dollar. I might get that instead of a tdk 24x.

Yamaha 20x10x40. Works very well. Got it from Best Buy for $100 after rebates.

I use a cheap HP 8200 4X4X24X
I would get a new one but this one works with everything and I don't want to go through the hassle of getting a new one that might not work with one of my burning programs.
Plus 15-20 minutes isn't that bad when burning a cd.

Picked up this drive a year ago for $250 and love it. Copies RAW and reads subchannel data so it makes perfect copies. Works perfect with DiscJuggler for you DC lovers. Get it!

Thanks for the info, i was really wanting to get a tdk burner, but not sure if it can burn games, I have a hp and a memorex one, both can burn games but the games end up not working for some reason, ppl say that it can't burn in raw mode or whatever, i've tried over 20 times with different program from nero to clonecd. 24x are selling for 120 dollar.

I've got an HP 9500, this thing works like a charm. DJ works for it and so does Cdr-Win. No problems with it so far.:)

I got my TDK Velo CD 12x10x24 drive from comp usa about 6 months ago for $130 plus a $50 mail in rebate.. it's a nice drive.. hella nice for $80 :)

I have the same burner as MarshmalloW96, and it is still going strong after 1500+ cd's burned.

Have you seen the 32x TDK? For seventy more bucks (Best Buy), you can be assured that your ready for the future.. errr.. or sorts.

i use a iomege zip cd 12x4x32, so far i haven't have any problem with it. i am not sure about should i get a 32x burner, because i haven't seen any disc support 32x yet.

If you want some 32x cd's, go to CompUSA, they have them, just saw them today. But if you're going to get a 32x burner, I suggest you get a 24x, much cheaper, but if you wanna keep up to technology, just go for the 32x, but I suggest a 24x.

I'm using my sony 8x4x32 and never had problems. Worked with any software using but right now I wouldnt recommend buying this (its not like its on the store shelves too cause its too old probally) becaise you can get a 24x real cheap now adays.

plextor 8/4/32a. i love this thing. i use adapte ez cd creator 3. something. i have 5 deluxe but don't like it.

Burners are much more expensive here in Oz compared to US and Europe from the sounds of things !!!!

gotta agree with blanes...ricoh are the mutts nuts!

ricoh mp7083a 8x8x32..had it about 9 months, it's a top notch burner!!..compatible with cdrecord, nero, dj, cdrwin, blindread/write, clonecd and burns most stuff...dc, pc, psx, audio, vcd, etc. without too much trouble....before that i had a ricoh mp7060a 6x4x24..lasted about 14 months then died, just out of warranty...grrr...my own fault really...it's not a good idea to burn 15cdr...one after the other using said burner to both read and write! (only got a 4gig hdd)...thewy tend to get very hot!..but it did write atleast 1100cdr!..(<<m4d4it<< ;-).many of which (200 aprox) were coasters, but in most cases down to f**kups on my part and not the burner itself!

i guess that most writers will burn most stuff....u may have to mess about but there's allways a way round a problem!

my friend had a ricoh too. he said it was good so i was trying to buy one. but i bought a plextor instead. he just updated his comp and he bought a plextor. said ricoh sucks. :)

heheh...yeah, when i'm in full on_all-your-coasters-are-belong-to-me_mode i cuss the hell out of my ricoh...but as i've said, it's nearly allways down to a f**kup on my part, not the burner....hence, my username ;-)

This don't have bufferunderun right? so do u get many cd coaster.?

I have a HP cd12 series 12x ..and i use clonecd,dj3,psxcopy2000 to burn. Personally I like my burner since its compatible with every program Ive tried.

Liteon 24x10x40x and no coasters so far :round:
