Hey guys,
I am going Britain reeeeal soon and am taking my canadian psx. I would like to know what I need to use it with all the games on the british tv?. I believe they use a different video mode. I don't want to re burn allllll my games. Do I need a cable or something?.Thanks

yes, and i believe that's all you need: a cable w/ a convertor in it, ntsc->pal
I know where you can buy the opposite (pal->ntsc), but that doesn't help you, right? But if those cables exist, the opposite should exists, is my guess.
So, there is no need to reburn all your games.
Perhaps is it just a connector you have to put between the pal tv and the cable, i don't know.

your best bet is to get a psx scart lead in the uk for about £4.50 and use a scart equipeed pal tv which is the normal in the uk,

but your psx may not work as we use 220v ac at 50 hertz pal-b over here , and so if your psx is 110 volts at 60 hertz to ntsc it would need a voltage convertor at the very least

and is its chipped it may make a difference too

so it really depends on your psx , voltage etc

It is chipped yes with a stealth chip. I am gonna use a converter for the power so that end of it is sorted. I just need to know about the cable or hooking the psx up to the tv thas all ...thanks dudes any more info would be good.

buy a scart lead for psx and scart tv and you should be sorted , or a pal rf convertor

or buy a chipped pal psx

So he either has to get a pal tv or psx?

Well...he would have to get a PAL TV if he's in the UK. Just get one with a SCART (sometimes called Euroconnector) socket. Then buy a RGB - SCART cable from any electronics store, or else you could get one hardwired onto your PSX board. Add in the voltage converter and away you go.
