Hope someone can help.

I've recently got an older PS2 with a Neo 2.2 chip already soldered.....BUT I don't have a boot disc
I've been told that I have to buy an Action Replay 2 disc, but that cost £30, which I would like to avoid, if possible
Does anyone know if there is anyway I can download the necessary files and create my own boot disc or will I have to buy the Action Replay.

Also, I've tried backing up a few games, but I am copying from a DVD drive onto a CD-R. Obviously I'vve found out that a lot of the PS2 games are much larger than 1 CD, so does anyone know how I spit it between discs?
Any help would be appreciated.
thanks

1- there r no boot disc or any kind
2- get the ar2, its the closest to a boot disc as anyone will get (that is until the linux dev kit is out)
3- games that r too big will have to b ripped. u can get tutorials at megagames.com, home.btconnect.com/big-design, and www.backupcentaluk.com (just to name a few)
4- the sticky's at the top of the page answers much questions u will have

Thanks for that,
It seems it may be a bit more complicated than I expected!
Just one more question. Is the Neo 2.2 pretty outdated. E.g. will every game work with it etc...

i think all games work with it on cd-r's, sbox's and externals are not outdated, just not good from the start
