I have vivastar disks from aarrrrgoooss sorry probably had to spell it like that :) what is the fastest speed i can write to them ???? mainly for vcd / svcd ?? i dont want any probs so what is the fastest anyone has written to them with no probs ? i have a lite-on 32x12x40

If you don't have any problems why do you want to know?. Burn them at their maximum rated speed.

no i dont want any probs so i want to know what is the maximum i can burn them at. they say 16X but can i burn them faster ?

They are rated at 16x which means that is as fast as the manufacturer recommends they be burned at. Try a faster speed, most burning proggies will assess the disc & if the speed requested is too high will reduce the burn speed.
The only way to know is to try one out.

I have been burning them at 20 X and 24 X so far without any probs.
